All legal requirements can be facilitated through the appropriate Government of Grenada ministries. Just be here for a minimum of one day before applying for a Marriage License from the Office of the Prime Minister. A fee is payable at the Ministry of Finance Treasury Department, along with a fee of Stamp Duty, Registration Fee Search and Stamp for placement on your Certified Marriage Certificate. The process usually takes two days. If either party is divorced the process may take longer, as documents are perused by the Ministry of Legal Affairs. Blood or other medical tests are not necessary.

The following documents must be provided in English:

Valid Passports

Birth Certificates

Sworn Affidavit (or letter from a Clergy Man, Lawyer or Registry), attesting that neither party has not been married previously

Decree Absolute, for each divorced party

If widowed, the deceased's Death Certificate

Legal proof if a name was changed by Deed Poll

If under 21 years, written parental consent by way of an Affidavit from a Lawyer or Notary Public



Documents required for travelling to this destination (it is important to note that the requirements need to be general since they may differ for citizens of different countries. Or, we will need all requirements for every country (within reason)


A valid passport and return or onward ticket is required. Visas are not required from citizens of the USA, Canada, United Kingdom and its dependencies, British Commonwealth countries, Caribbean countries (except Cuba), Venezuela, European Union countries and their dependencies, Norway, Japan, and Israel.


Commonwealth of Independent States such as Ukraine and other eastern European countries are required to purchase a tourist visa on arrival in Grenada.

Grand Anse Beach is a very popular two-mile beach with white sand and calm ocean. Anse La Roche is considered “the most scenic beach” with coral reefs just offshore. The beach is private. Bathway Beach in St. Patrick is ideally located coral reef. Black Bay Beach is located in St. John is a black sand beach in a secluded area for relaxing. Dusquene Bay is ideal for playing sporting games. Grooms Beach (Parc a Boeuf) in St. George is a trendy spot in the southern coastline.

Grenada is known for its rum distilleries. They are all located on different parts of the island and offer educational tours. In many bars the liquor is combined with fruit juices made from locally grown fruits such as mango, papaya and carambola (five fingers fruit). Grenada nightlife is full of rhythms as soca, reggae, karaoke and of course Calypso, the island’s native music. You will also hear a fusion of parang, dancehall and pop especially during festival seasons. Relax and enjoy warm nights in casual bars and musical spots. Grenada and its islands have well-known festivals. Carnival is colorful, full of parades, music and celebrations. Carriacou Carnival combines parades of the bands, calypso competition and several musical eventos beginning in March. The musical ancestry of Africa is experienced at the Carriacou Maroon and String Band Music Festival held on April during 3 days. During the second Monday and Tuesday in August the island hosts the cultural event, ‘Spicemas’
